This is the C-9 Basin. The largest area of illegal slaughter farms, animal fighting farms and animal sacrifice farms in the United States. After ARM’s investigation of the area and findings brought to the Florida State Attorneys office it was shut down. This was one of the largest operations/taskforces conducted in Florida history. As of the beginning of 2011 all farms are shut down.

The man in the picture (to the right) killed this Thoroughbred in Miami. He admitted during the entire butcher process the horse was still alive. He took the horse apart with a blow torch!

This man was jailed for killing 2 horses and butchering them alive. He is now in prison serving 5 years do to (in part) of ARM’s work.

The Walker Lake Herd
The is the Walker Lake Herd on their home range in Nevada. This herd of wild mustangs is one of the largest untouched herds in the world. ARM completed one of the longest 24 hour (week long) studies ever done on a group of wild horses. Some of the documentation may be seen in the video section of this website.
Walker Lake Herd Protest
The signe was being held by supporters duing a demonstration in Carson city Nevada. ARM and respect 4 horses were, at the time of the photo, meeting with the heads of the Department of the Interior and the BLM in order to workout a plan to stop the round up and save the Walker Lake Herd. The herd are one of the largest groups of wild horses in the world. In time and after our 5 part series on CNN aired the round up was called off by the BLM. This was the first time in US history of such an event. The herd in now safe and free.

This is one our more demented photos. This was taken on a illegal slaughter farm raid in Miami. The chains, bleed out tubes, halter and face guard. This was found in the death paddock where the horses and other animals were kept. When we entered the paddock their were animals on fire and thousands of animal ears in the area.

In Area-97 ARM finds bags and bags of sacrificed animals on a daily basis. In this case their were over 15 sacrificed animals in trash bags.

The puppy mill area holds the animals in the worst conditions until sold to a cult like group for hours to days of torture. This and other dogs on this day were being fed only blood to drink. It was over 100 degrees out.

One night the lawless butchers took her from her stall and butchered her alive. As they started to dismantal her body for meat she began giving birth to her foal.

This horse skull was one of hundreds found at dump sites on Miami’s illegal slaughter farm in Area-97. The rope was still around where the horses neck once was. Most horses are killed in the farms by being tied to trees and thier throats are then slit. Once the horses fall to the ground they are then butchered, many times while still alive.

Camannchee – Horse Slaughter
Camannchee was a 16th month old colt and beloved pet. Mary Ellen and her husband Allen helped foal their baby and doted on him any chance they got. One morning they went to his stall only to find him dissected in pieces with all his meat taken. To this day when Camannchee is mentioned Mary Ellen still cries.

Linda – Horse Slaughter
Linda and her foal were led out of their stall one night. Once outside the stall, 2 men jammed a knife under her chin, but due to her strength she never went to the ground. Next the men started slamming and breaking her legs with a pipe while she called for her foal so they sat on her head/neck as the others ripped her apart for the meat. The two men that butchered Linda admitted that as they left with 80% of her meat, she was still trying to call out for her baby. She was later burned. When I arrived to the scene the baby was trying to nurse off the burnt carcass of her mother Linda.

Dance Hall Grammy was retired from racing in South Florida and sold to an illegal slaughter farm in Miami by a worker at Calder race course (who still works at the track). This picture was taken at the slaughter farm. A day after the horses recovery he died from the neglect he experienced at the torture farm.
