Operation Orlando Poultry – ARM Investigations

In June of 2022, ARM conducted investigations at Orlando Halal Fresh Poultry, INC– a USDA-certified animal slaughterhouse located in Orlando, Florida.

This animal slaughter facility sells live animals for human consumption and hosts a website of its services at www.orlandopoultry.com.

During this investigation, ARM witnessed and documented countless crimes against goats, sheep, cows, ducks, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs during its investigation.

Some of the crimes included, but are not limited to;

Animals are not stunned by an appropriate device or rendered unconscious and insensible to pain, prior to the slaughter process, per the Humane Slaughter ACT.
Animals are inhumanely handled and dragged and subjected to excessive force.
Animals are slaughtered with improper techniques, causing unconscionable pain and suffering.
Goats and Sheep have their throats slit with knives, slicing multiple times while the animal is alive and conscious, cutting through arteries and the windpipe.
On 14 separate occasions, chickens and guinea hens were not stunned before having their throats slit and tossed upside down into a metal contraption and left to ‘bleed out’.
Animals live in deplorable, overcrowded conditions with multiple species in the same area.
Live animals sold in violation of the law.
False advertising/misleading to the public.
Meats sold without a known destination.

At the conclusion of ARM’s investigation of Orlando Halal Fresh Poultry, INC, 16 felony acts of animal cruelty resulting in death were documented, in addition to multiple counts of selling unadulterated meat to consumers.

In August of 2022, ARM compiled a detailed report and submitted its findings to the Orange County Sherriff’s Office and USDA/FSIS department.
